Before and After pictures

Video taken by Zeb Hallock during the evacuation of Scott Ladner and his family. NOTE! This video contains SWEARING. If this offends you or you find this inappropriate please watch without sound. Please also understand that comments made during the video are not intended to be insensitive. We had all been awake for days literally, and were immersed in a sad, horrible situation. We were also very glad to see each other and glad that everyone was alive. This all mixed up to make a weird environment that led odd feelings of happiness standing in destruction from time to time.

Video is of Long Beach starting on Klondike just south of Commission Rd. I (Zeb) had been awake for close to 2 days and was just getting into town after 16 hours of driving. From there I go down, talk my way over the tracks and find Scott, Connie, Tamara, and Tessa.

The Magic Tree

A tree had fallen across the road which blocked all visibility down the road. Scott had cut a few branches out so people could get under the tree.

While we were loading the van, Scott's mom suddenly appeared from the magic tree, poof. Then, after about 30 minutes or so, suddenly there were three more people that popped out from under the magic tree, poof, poof, poof. It was a news crew from Google Current TV. The piece they did is below.

Scott, Connie, her kids (Tamara and Tessa) and Judy (Scott's Mom) were featured at the end of this news piece.
